Extra-Mural Centre, Atlantic College
The Centre aims to make the facilities of the College open to disadvantaged young people. Since opening in 1979, EMC has given confidence and new-found skills to more than fifty thousand people through activities such as climbing, canoeing, orienteering, mountainboarding and initiative-based exercises. A growing international consciousness
The importance of play in a child's social, emotional, physical and cognitive development has been widely recognised by institutions in all sectors of societies. This support ranges from international organisations such as the UN to local council education initaitives and the media. Find out more!
