Second expedition is a great success!

Dear friends, family and supports of World at Play!

The second expedition has come to an end after three months of hard work and hard play in 8 countries, working with 24 centres and thousands of children and adults!

Building on the friendships made and games played during World at Play's first expedition in the Autumn of 2004, the last 3 months saw more energy, creativity and high-fives that confirmed the tremendous benefits of productive play to all those involved.

The great participation of the children and adults at the centres, the generosity showed by our hosts at each destination, the careful preparation of World at Play's co-ordinators over the past year and the fantastic energy and commitment of the expedition team all helped to make the expedition a fantastic success!

We will be sharing pictures and stories with you on the main part of our website in the very near future. In the meantime, please have a look at the expedition team's blog entries and photos from the sessions to get a taste of the energy and excitement over the past three months.

Keep playing in 2007!

Welcome to World at Play

What is World at Play?

We are a group of young people who organise expeditions across the globe to work with socially, mentally and physically disadvantaged children. By involving these children in games of productive developmental sports and activities, we aim to build their confidence through the universal language of play, fostering international understanding through the exchange of games, and leave a lasting legacy by the donation of sports equipment and the training of local leaders.
